FAQs
What should I expect in the consultation appointment?
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, your goals, and any questions you may have. I’ll also share a bit about my approach so we can decide if it feels like a good fit.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes! All sessions are currently held virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You’ll receive a link before each appointment. To get the most out of our time, I recommend finding a quiet, private space with a reliable internet connection.
What are your rates?
My standard fee is:
$130 for 50 minutes appointment
$180 for 90 minute appointment
Longer sessions are available when needed and may be recommended depending on the number of people attending.
Do you offer sliding scale or reduced rates?
Yes. I offer a limited number of reduced-fee spots through the Open Path Collective. Feel free to inquire about availability.
Do you accept insurance?
I am in-network with select insurance providers and can verify your benefits upon request. If I'm not in-network, you may be able to use out-of-network benefits. I can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement.
How often should I attend therapy?
Most clients attend weekly, especially at the start, to build momentum and consistency. We can adjust frequency based on your needs and goals, however generally I will not see new clients less than twice a month due to best practices.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid being charged the full session fee. Emergencies happen, just keep me in the loop and we’ll work together.
Do both people need to attend for couples therapy?
Yes, though you do not have to be in the same location. For couples or family work, it's important that all participants are able to attend consistently. If you're interested but unsure how to get started, I’m happy to help you plan an approach that works.
Can I text or email you?
Email is the best way to reach me, as most of my work hours are spent in session. You’re welcome to text with simple scheduling concerns, but please note I don’t offer crisis support. If you need immediate help, you can call or text 988 for 24/7 mental health support.
Are you available on weekends?
I am not available weekends. My hours are from Monday- Fridays. My latest available appointment is 5pm MST.
