About Me
Hi, I’m Tristan Johnson (she/her), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering virtual therapy across Colorado.
I help couples, individuals, and families who feel stuck in patterns they can’t quite name but deeply feel. Whether you’re navigating relationship struggles, life transitions, burnout, or emotional disconnection, I offer a space where you don’t have to carry it alone.
My approach is grounded in systemic relational therapy, which means we look at your story in the context of your relationships, your culture, and your lived experiences. Together, we’ll explore the patterns you’ve inherited, the roles you’ve taken on, and what might be ready to shift.

My style is collaborative, and nonjudgmental. Clients often say they feel heard and challenged by our time together. I bring curiosity, cultural humility, and a deep respect for your lived truth. I also don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. We'll tailor our work to what feels most helpful for you
I like to create an environment that encourages self- awareness and promotes lasting change. I believe that we all have potential to obtain fulfillment. My goal as the therapist is to help support, empower, and advise so that you may achieve your goals and reach your fullest potential.

Often, the way we feel or act is shaped by our relationships, upbringing, culture, or life experiences. Maybe you learned to keep the peace, stay strong, or never ask for help because it felt necessary at the time.
In therapy, we gently explore these patterns.
We look at the roles you’ve taken on, the messages you’ve absorbed, and how those things may still be influencing your relationships, stress levels, or sense of self.A relational approach helps you:
Understand why certain patterns keep showing up
Make sense of how your past affects your present
Shift how you relate to others and yourself
This isn’t about blaming. It’s about noticing. And then choosing something new.
-
I specialize in supporting:
Couples feeling emotionally distant or stuck in conflict
Women’s issues including navigating fertility challenges, caregiving, or identity transitions
Individuals struggling with anxiety, self-worth, or burnout
Teens and families working to rebuild trust or connection
You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin therapy. You just need a willingness to show up and the right support to walk alongside you.
